Cire Perdue is a technique for casting jewelry or sculptures in gold, silver, bronze or any other cast metal. It is also called Lost Wax Casting in English. The name – both in French and in English; describes how the technique works: you make a model in wax, and when you want to reproduce it in metal, the original model in wax is lost.
